Smart Building

Security for real estate and facilities
Whether heating systems, ventilation equipment or door systems – Facility Management is smart nowadays. Thanks to the Internet of Things and smart building solutions, many areas in real estate and facilities can not only be controlled remotely, but also automatically report malfunctions and damages. But what happens then?
With Serinus you get a central event and information platform. In the event of faults and damages, the competent technical staff is automatically alerted. To do so, Serinus takes into account duty rosters and on-call shifts as well as communication channels through which the relevant employees can be contacted. With the integration of Serinus on the one hand you optimize your workflows and on the other hand you reduce installation costs while improving the service quality.
Overview of the benefits
Are you looking for a security and information platform that provides the best possible networking and reliable monitoring of your systems?
Extensive compatibility
Serinus enables you to connect your building management system, technical components and sensors to the alarm and crisis management platform by means of standard and proprietary interfaces. In this way, the platform can be adapted to the specific needs and requirements of your institution or company.
Targeted distribution of information
Serinus enables you to distribute information about all important events in a targeted manner. The platform can notify the adequate number of people via voice call, mobile app, SMS or e-mail, regardless of time and location. A chronological order of the notification options can be defined too.
Easy operation
Serinus is intuitively designed and easy to use even in complex alarming scenarios. The development of this solution is focused on usability, since in critical situations it is necessary to act quickly and effectively. Serinus stands out for its process-oriented configuration and context-sensitive interaction.
Integration of IoT sensors
Thanks to the smart networking of your systems by means of IoT technology, you do not need unnecessary cabling to monitor your facilities. Serinus enables an easy integration of your sensors using modern LPWAN networks such as LoRa, SigFox or Narrowband IoT. Your smart building can thus be controlled, monitored and your operating processes can be optimized.
Live status display of all data
In order to keep constantly track of all status information and feedback, this data is displayed in real time via web browser or app. With the help of the integrated Grafana application, you can graph the live status of all your data. You can also retrieve your data by single segmentation.
Reports & Statistics
Serinus logs all messages and orders in detail. To use these logs for process improvement, you can customize many evaluation options. In this case you can also use the statistics module. The required alarm reports can be sent via e-mail with just one click.

FAQ
Can the existing building management system be connected without any problems?
Yes, Serinus supports the connection of many serial and IP-based interfaces, such as ESPA 4.4.4 and ESPA-X, KNX Bus, Bacnet, Modbus and OPC UA. What’s more, thanks to Lora integration, IoT devices can be directly detected and monitored.
Does Serinus support IoT technologies for receiving and processing alarms, states or parameters from wireless IoT devices?
Yes, wireless IoT devices can be easily integrated using modern LPWAN networks such as LoRa, SigFox or Narrowband IoT.
Is the live data of all technical components and sensors processed graphically?
With the help of the integrated Grafana application, the live status of all your data is displayed graphically.
How is it ensured that a status or fault message reaches the intended recipient?
It is possible to request an acknowledgment from the operator. If the alarm is not acknowledged by a minimum number of predefined employees, the system automatically starts repetitions or escalations to further operators. Thanks to automated and progress reports you can always stay on top of things. Using the dashboard you can easily track the status of your alerts in real time.
Can duty rosters be considered for the alerting process?
Yes, the system considers duty rosters and shift plans. Otherwise, users can also manually log in to and log out from alerting groups. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the logout is not possible.
How long are reports and statistics accessible?
This can be set differently for each account. The minimum retention period is one day, whereas the maximum retention period is 10 years.
